The sixth-generation Honda Civic was produced from 1995 until 2000. It debuted in 1995 featuring 3-door hatchback, 4-door sedan, and 2-door coupe body styles. The lineup included two 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engines and a new continuously variable transmission (CVT) for the HX model. Compared to the previous generation, the coupe and sedan models are 2.3 inches (58 mm) longer, while the hatchback variant is 4.3 inches (109 mm) longer. This version represents the final Civic generation to utilize front double-wishbone suspension before the transition to MacPherson struts in the seventh generation.
