About this mod

This mod adds a player-buildable version of Bernard as a summonable companion, designed to avoid conflict with Act 3 storyline events.

Features

  • New quest: Start by reading a scroll in the Arcane Tower secret bottom floor. Retrieve four items, including the Light of Creation and armor essence, to complete the build.
  • Lightning-based combat: Unique resource management system using Lightning Charges that scale with level.
  • Custom gear: Features a scaled heavy crossbow that uses one-handed animations. Damage scales from 1d6 (early) to 1d10 (late game).
  • Specialized passives: Includes Electric Blood, Assimilated, Spark Blocker, and Superheated states.
  • Progression: Unlocks unique actions, interrupts, and feats every level up to 12 (with further scaling to 20).
  • Upgrades: Discoverable Adamantine and Enriched Infernal Alloys provide permanent combat buffs and visual changes.
  • Animations: Uses a blend of Steel Watcher and male human animations.

Requirements

  • Requires the Evolved Series framework.

Known issues

  • Bernard does not receive healing from standard spells; use Short Rests to restore health.
  • Static Discharge Aura causes incapacitation for two turns after expiration.

Credits

  • Lenore De Hurst — cleric of Mystra
