Map Search

About this mod

Features

• Adds a search option for the world map, allowing searches through map‑pins.
• Searches include mappin titles, descriptions, and some general type information.
• Example queries: “Sinner”, “Bill”, “side” will all find “Sinnerman”; “NCPD” finds all NCPD scanner jobs even if the term isn’t in the title or description.
• Includes a ‘Clear’ button next to the search text box for quick wiping of the search term.
• Clicking anywhere outside the textbox removes focus, enabling keyboard navigation without the “wwwwwwaaaa” issue.

Languages

• UI uses in‑game localized text, appearing in the player’s language.
• Search terms are based on localized texts; hidden terms like “main” or “side” for quest pins may not be fully localized.

Limitations

• Descriptions/strings for custom mappins from the ‘Custom Map Markers’ mod aren’t stored in an easily accessible way. If many custom pins are present, the game may crash when opening the map. Report such incidents on the bugs tab.

Bugs

• Report any bugs on the bugs tab.
