Night City Traffic Overhaul

About this mod

Features

• Customizable district‑based traffic. Each district has sliders for vehicle categories: gang vehicles, NCPD patrols, taxis, Delamain, buses, utility vehicles, and modded vehicles.
• Sliders range from 1 (very rare) to 20 (very common); values represent spawn weight.
• Secondary gangs presence probability, outside gangs incursions probability, and mode (single raid or multiple) can be randomized.
• Option to set Sixthstreet members as taxi drivers.
• Passenger probability settings to fill traffic vehicles with gang members or NCPD.
• Traffic vehicle security level setting controls theft/hijack cost and vehicle locking.

Customization

• Adjust sliders per district to create desired street atmosphere, from oppressive gang‑filled streets to peaceful public‑transport‑heavy zones.
• Apply settings and reload a save for changes to take effect.

Modded Vehicles Support

• Add modded vehicles by editing “r6/scripts/NightCityTrafficOverhaul/NCTOmoddedVehicles.reds” and inserting the entity name (e.g., "Vehicle.oranje3_militech_legatus").
• Adjust the district sliders to include the new vehicles.

Performance

• Negligible impact; vehicle swaps occur only at game load.
• Modded vehicles may affect performance if many are present.
• Increasing traffic density and having many full‑character vehicles fighting will raise resource usage, but vanilla‑compatible systems should handle it.

Optional Files

• Increased Vehicle Traffic Density: two optional files (1.5× and 2×) raise traffic density; pedestrian density unchanged. Not compatible with other crowd/traffic density mods.
• Better Panic/Bumping Reaction: civilian tolerance to vehicle bumping is increased; compatible with “No Panic Driving – Enhanced” and “React To Horn — Get out of my way NPC”.
• Cyberpunk 2.3 Version Compatibility (old): for version 2.3, replace the main database file with the provided optional one.

Addons (standalone but made for NCTO)

• Faction Attitudes Toggler – toggle relations between player, NCPD, gangs, and corpos.
• Combat Cab Taxi System – request or hijack taxis, includes rescue rides.
• Spawned NPC Post Combat Fix – gangsters leave the area after street shootouts.

Addons for NCTO

• Vehicle Selector Frontend – GUI to add/remove modded vehicles from traffic (requires compatible backend).
• Factions Evolved – integrates custom modded vehicles into factions, law enforcement, and claim‑vehicle systems.
• Loreful Modded Traffic – works with a collection of 115 vehicle mods; compatible with any vehicle combination.

Incompatibility

• “Mod my traffic” – reported crashes.
• Traffic/Crowd density mods and “Disappearing NPC Fix” – incompatible with the optional density files.
