Immersive Third Person - Best Of Both Worlds screenshot

About this mod

This mod adds a third‑person perspective with animation fixes and dynamically switches perspective depending on the situation.

Features

  • Switch between first and third person on foot at any time.
  • Free‑orbit camera with wall collision, smooth distance adjustment, and five savable camera profiles.
  • Custom animations for female V covering idle, idle break, walking, jogging, sprinting, stop transitions, jumps, landings, ladder/ledge climbs, swimming, slides, dashes, pick‑up, etc.; male V receives limited fixes.
  • Smart automatic switching back to first‑person during combat, driving, cutscenes, terminals and other required situations; view returns afterwards.
  • Preferred perspective persists after game restart.
  • Loot camera assist, idle head‑look, and camera movement configurable via Mods > Third Person or CET overlay.
  • First‑person animations remain untouched.

Requirements

  • Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty DLC
  • RED4ext
  • ArchiveXL
  • TweakXL
  • Codeware
  • Cyber Engine Tweaks

  • Ensure all are up to date.

Installation

  1. Completely remove or disable any previous version of this mod.
  2. Install the zip using your mod manager (Vortex/MO2) or extract it directly into the game folder. It may be unstable on MO2’s virtual file system.
  3. Launch the game and load a save; a one‑time popup appears after about 10 seconds confirming activation.
  4. Bind a toggle key:
  • CET > Bindings > Immersive Third Person, or
  • Mods > Third Person > Keys > Switch perspective key (requires Native Settings UI).

Configuration

  • Camera settings, loot assist, idle head‑look, and movement can be adjusted through Mods > Third Person or the CET overlay window.

Known issues

  • Still a work in progress; bugs may appear, especially when other mods are installed.
  • First load after installing can crash; restart the game and load the save again.
