Kiroshi Optics - Deep Scan Protocol

About this mod

Features

• Scans every NPC in Night City through Kiroshi optics, exposing criminal records, medical history, cyberware registries, financial data, psych profiles, relationship networks, gang affiliations, and more.
• 230 named characters have hand‑written, lore‑accurate backstories that replace procedural generation.
• Quest‑aware entries update dynamically (e.g., Takemura before/after The Heist, Jackie in the prologue vs. Act 2).
• Dynamic NPC classifications (90 unique types across 11 categories) such as Sleeper Agent, Corpo Defector, Trauma Team Marked, etc.
• Distinct intel per archetype: civilians receive full database access, gang members get gang profile + aliases, NCPD officers receive detailed personnel files, fake police are flagged, Trauma Team members receive military‑grade profiles, etc.
• Cross‑NPC connection system (added in 2.3) with four modes: Off, Phantom, Tracked, Full, providing ambient district‑wide relationship fabric and explicit cross‑reference alerts.
• BOLO notices and district‑aware scanning (added in 2.4) introduce NCPD lookout flags and scan routing based on actual district infrastructure.
• Performance overhaul (2.4) caches event pools, consolidates NPC lookups, and fixes generation bugs, resulting in faster scans and fairer RNG.
• Full localization support (added in 3.0) with 11,300+ strings passing through Codeware’s localization system; partial French translation included.

Configuration

• Scan corruption chance defaults to 1 in 200 per scan; configurable in Settings → Generation → NPC Connections.
• Network Analysis display mode selectable (Compact or Full) in Settings → Generation → NPC Connections.
• BOLO notices, district‑aware scanning, and cross‑NPC connection system are togglable and tunable in Settings.
• Language selection follows the game’s language setting; additional translations can be added via the included TRANSLATION_GUIDE.html.
