Traffic Signs

About this mod

Features

• Twenty fully‑editable direction signs covering classic arrows, direction panels, diagonal, stacked, advance signs, motorway exit boards, distance boards, exit markers, overhead gantries, a cantilever sign, and a local direction panel.
• Names up to 48 characters auto‑scale; empty fields simply vanish.
• No hard limit on how many can be placed.

Editing

• Walk up to a sign and trigger the “Edit destinations” action to change destination name, road label, exit number and distance.
• Gantries and cantilever signs are edited from the point next to their right support.
• Arrow‑shaped signs show text on both sides.

Placement

• No land‑ownership required, but foundations can’t sit on active fields or native road objects.
• Gantries may span a road as long as their supports stay clear.
• Normal building collisions, water limits and map borders still apply.
• Detection relies on the map’s native FS25 road/field data—roads painted only on terrain might be missed.
• These signs are purely decorative; they don’t alter AI routes, speed limits, fields or ownership.

Multiplayer

• Each player can edit signs that belong to their own farm; admins can touch any nearby sign.
• All changes are validated and synced by the server, and newcomers receive the saved text automatically.

Savegames

• Text is saved per sign.
• This mod uses a different ID from TFU_TrafficSigns, so existing TFU signs won’t convert automatically—back up your save before swapping.
