Random World Events

About this mod

Features

• Probabilistic event engine
• 43+ events across 5 categories
• Configurable frequency, intensity & cooldown
• Per‑category toggles and manual trigger
• HUD notifications & warnings
• Terrain‑aware vehicle physics
• Per‑savegame configuration

Controls

• Toggle HUD: F3
• Open settings: Shift + O
• Test event (console): rweTest

Note: only one event runs at a time and a cooldown separates them, ensuring each one lands properly. Weather events are still in development, and multiplayer currently applies economy and physics effects per player (full sync coming soon).

Changed

• Money events now pay out in single‑player; every eligible farm sees the cash on its finance statement.
• Event price changes now flow through Market Dynamics instead of hard‑patching prices.
• Wear events scale wear on every vehicle actually in use; parked vehicles stay untouched.

Added

• Multiplayer: event announcements now broadcast to every player.
• Event HUD toggle in Control Center, resizable width, matching the base game’s theme.
• With Tax Mod installed, random‑event money appears in Tax Mod’s ledger.

Fixed

• Settings panel now holds the mouse cursor and camera.
• Keyboard defaults no longer clash with other suite mods; stale keys removed.
• Key presses are correctly registered on foot or in a vehicle.
• Multiplayer: host‑only settings changes are now saved correctly.
