Realistic Mechanical Systems BETA 3

About this mod

Realistic Mechanical Systems introduces a living mechanical model where every drive, load and service action influences reliability, performance and running costs.

Features

• Progressive wear and random breakdowns affect up to eight separate systems, with warning signs such as odd noises, engine‑speed wobble, smoke or power loss.
• Engine temperature and behaviour change warm‑up times, start reliability and exhaust output based on cold snaps, heavy work, dirt build‑up and overall condition.
• Tractor transmission options include switching between 2WD, 4WD or AUTO, locking differentials and using a parking brake.
• Maintenance actions: check fluid levels, blow out dust with an air gun, grease joints and replace clogged filters in the workshop.
• Charging and jump‑start assistance via jumper cables or the Telwin Doctor Charge 155 Connect on its trolley; charging respects the game’s time speed.
• Fully equipped workshop for inspection, maintenance, repair, overhaul or repaint, showing prices, durations and part quality before starting.
• Detailed reports show service deadlines, history, age, hours and condition, affecting resale value; used gear may hide faults.
• Workers automatically ease up on overloaded machines, compatible with Courseplay and AutoDrive.

Development and feedback

• The mod is in alpha; player input will shape balance.
• Independent project based on Advanced Damage System, released under GPLv3.
