About this mod

This tweak adjusts roadside crime generation to make encounters feel more natural and believable while maintaining the original style and balance.

Features

  • Adjustable probabilities for crime types including theft, assault, and poaching.
  • Configurable settings for perpetrator identity, NPC reactions, active scenes, weapon management, and NPC emotional responses.
  • Crimes are no longer evenly split: theft is less common, poaching appears moderately, and violent assault is more frequent.
  • Logical perpetrator profiles: thugs for theft, merchants for assault, and rogues or wanderers for poaching.
  • Improved NPC behavior where reactions like running, hiding, and looting are based on fear, opportunity, or desperation.

Compatibility

  • Fully safe to merge with any mod that does not overwrite roadsideCorpseConfigurations.
  • Pure XML edit containing no scripts.
  • Can be installed or removed at any time.

Installation

  • Manual: Unpack the mod and place the entire folder into your Mods directory.
  • Mod Manager: Install the archive normally through your mod manager.
