The KCD2 Cooking Mod - Chinese Localization Fix screenshot

About this mod

Restores and improves the outdated Chinese localization for the KCD2 Cooking Mod. Re-translated and polished numerous dish names and descriptions to better align with the game's medieval style and official tone.

  • Royal dishes feature a Royal prefix for easier selection.
  • Simplified Chinese is provided; Traditional Chinese is currently a machine conversion without further refinement.
  • Utilizes original localization work from Venus.
  • New text translated via GPT with manual verification to ensure consistency with the KCD2 language style.

Installation

  • Copy Chineses_xml.pak or Chineset_xml.pak to the mod's localization folder, in the same location as English_xml.pak.
  • If future game updates cause the localization to fail, attempt to copy and paste the files again.

Credits

  • Venus — original localization
