About this mod

This mod allows Handlers to utilize their Slingers to support the Hunter during combat. Features include automatic monster tranquilization for captures, customizable exploration behaviors, and various quality-of-life toggles.

Features

  • Enable Slinger Support: Handlers use their Slingers to assist the player in combat.
  • No Monster Reminders: Disables repetitive reminders about lost parts and carving.
  • No Material Gathering: Prevents the Handler from picking up items with their Slinger.
  • Exploration On Foot: Allows Handlers to travel on foot and crawl through small spaces with the player.
  • No Hand Holding: Disables reminders regarding hunger, weapon sharpening, loadouts, and Large Dung Pod usage.

Slinger Support Details

Handlers determine which ammunition to use based on the monster, its current condition, and player health. They ride their Seikret to mid-range, fire, and retreat. Available ammo includes Battle Remains, Flash Pods, Screamer Pods, Large Dung Pods, Luring Pods, Paralysis Knives, and Tranq Blades. The Handler wait time between shots decreases as player health drops.

Requirements

  • REFramework with Loose File Loader enabled
  • Fluffy Mod Manager

Installation

  • Extract the mod to the FluffyModManager/Games/MonsterHunterWilds/Mods directory. Remove previous versions before installing version 1.5.
  • Activate desired features within Fluffy Mod Manager.

Known issues

  • Damage numbers for Handler Slinger attacks do not appear on screen.
  • Occasional targeting errors may occur if a quest monster flees and a new monster enters the fray.
  • Luring Pods may occasionally cause the monster to target the Palico or Support Hunters.
