About this mod

Features

  • Extends the original stable list from 4 slots to 19 slots by default.
  • Allows configuration up to 59 total slots via the AdditionalSlots value in StableExpansion.ini (0‑55 additional slots).
  • Uses the same stable menu; horses are bought, named, saddled, sold and stored through the familiar interface.
  • No extra menus, hotkeys, or replacement UI elements.

Requirements

  • Red Dead Redemption 2 version 1.0.1491.50 (Story Mode only).
  • ScriptHookRDR2.
  • An ASI loader.

Installation

  1. Install ScriptHookRDR2 and an ASI loader.
  2. Place StableExpansion.asi, StableExpansionRuntime.asi and StableExpansion.ini in the same folder as RDR2.exe.
  3. (Optional) Edit AdditionalSlots in StableExpansion.ini before launching to set desired capacity.
  4. Launch Story Mode with a save in which stables have already been unlocked.

Compatibility

  • Tested with Red Dead Redemption 2 version 1.0.1491.50.
  • Not compatible with Red Dead Online.
  • May not work with other game versions, the 1911 launcher, or certain horse mods; keep a backup of your save.

Known issues

  • The mod registers memory at runtime, so the official launcher is likely required.
  • Other game versions and combinations with horse mods have not been fully tested.

Changelog

  • Initial release (v1.0): 19 default slots, up to 59 configurable, no UI changes.
