Gunplay Overhaul

About this mod

This comprehensive overhaul completely reimagines Red Dead Redemption 2's combat by introducing realistic ballistics and significantly more responsive mechanics. You get a much faster experience with increased fire rates and customizable reload speeds, moving away from the sluggish feel of the base game.

• Weapons now use a physical projectile system instead of hitscan, allowing you to dodge bullets in Deadeye mode.
• Recoil and spread patterns for every firearm have been fully reworked to reward precision over sustained spamming.
• Ammo types now feature unique dynamic damage drop-off curves, forcing you to choose the right round for the distance.
• Ragdoll impulses are minimized, so enemies stumble and collapse realistically rather than flying backward unnaturally.
• Shotguns have been tightened up with improved pellet spreads and meaningful range adjustments across all models.
