Echoing Gloom

About this mod

This is a reworked version of the mod formerly known as Befalling of Night. Character replacement mods may cause potential issues, while costume mods are compatible.

Features

• Weapon system: Trading is stronger than buying.
• Enemies may exhibit unusual animations.
• Leon features different melee animations with unique effects.
• Doctors reject being stabbed.
• Specialist doctors reject covering their face, kneeling down, or being stabbed.
• Perfect parrying against Garradors costs no durability.
• Knives deal 10x damage to Garrador weakpoints (excluding stealth stabs).
• Includes Super Knights.
• Melee critical damage increased to 5x.

Optional

• EG-Handcannon: Stronger Handcannon, though not the strongest weapon.
• EG-Drop Enhanced: Increases ammo drop rates.
• EG-Melee Enhanced: Increases melee attack damage by 200%.
• EG-9999 Stack for Ammo.
• EG-Leon Enhance: Increases melee activation range, replaces jogs with dash animations, allows melee attacks to damage enemies along a path (similar to Wesker), and replaces quick turns with dodge animations (includes melee animation replacement).
• EG-Raging Enemies: Sets enemies to aggressive animations.
• EG-Animation only patch: Replaces melee animations with this mod's custom animations.

Known bugs

• Extra doors in the dog's garden may appear closed after eliminating all enemies. They are technically open; saving and reloading the game or loading an autosave point in the garden will resolve this.
• At the center village gate in Chapter 1, items may not function correctly until returning to the gate after eliminating the MAD Chainsaw.
