The Crye Precision Adaptive Vest System (AVS) bridges the gap between a lightweight plate carrier and a load-bearing tactical vest. This component is designed for swimmer-cut ballistic plates while maintaining full integration with the modular AVS line. Constructed from 500D MIL-SPEC Cordura nylon, the vest features steeply angled upper shoulders to reduce bulk, allowing for unobstructed rifle seating and shoulder mobility. The front plate pouch includes a top admin slip pocket with an internal loop liner for small items. Dual vertical webbing loops support ITW Nexus QASM buckles or swift-clip adapters. The rear pouch utilizes heavy-duty side zippers for mounting specialized packs or hydration systems. When paired with the internal AVS harness, armor weight is distributed across the core skeletal frame.
