Custom Guns NL545

About this mod

Features

• Implements the Custom Guns NL545 assault rifle, based on a modern AR‑15 architecture but designed for 5.45×39 mm cartridges.
• Uses aluminum alloy upper and lower receivers, cross‑pin assembly, rotary bolt locking, buffer mechanisms, and trigger components similar to the AR‑15 platform.
• Offers a selectable gas system: traditional Stoner‑type direct impingement or a short‑stroke gas piston with a manual regulator.
• Magazine housing accepts any AK‑74 compatible “rock‑and‑lock” magazines, replacing the standard AR‑15 magwell.
• Magazine latch combines an AK‑style paddle release in front of the trigger guard with a Stoner‑type button on the right side of the lower receiver.
• Upper and lower receivers are slightly longer at the front to accommodate the AK‑style magazines; bolt hold‑open device is absent.
