About this mod

This tool elevates Stardew Valley’s CPU process priority on Windows to reduce input lag, stutters, and hitching during spikes by helping the game compete for CPU time.

Features

Automatically sets Stardew Valley’s process priority when launched through SMAPI.
No XNB edits or gameplay changes.
Two versions: Auto-Unfocus (drops to Normal when alt-tabbed, switches back to High when returning) and No Auto-Unfocus (sets to High priority on launch).

Requirements

Windows (process priority APIs are Windows-specific).

Configuration

Modify config.json to switch between Above Normal or High priority settings.

Compatibility

Compatible with all mods; safe to install or uninstall mid-save at any time.

Known issues

Do not set to Realtime priority; this may cause system instability.
Running other CPU-heavy applications simultaneously may negatively affect system performance as they compete for resources.
