Cargo Reconsidered screenshot

About this mod

A comprehensive rebalancing of ship cargo systems to improve realism and consistency.

Features

  • Cockpit cargo capacities increased by a factor of ten, reflecting overall ship storage capacity rather than cockpit-specific space. Base ships carry between 2000 and 3800 cargo weight.
  • Cargo modules have mass reduced to one-quarter of vanilla values and capacity doubled.
  • Storerooms, cargo halls, and armories provide increased cargo capacity. General rule: 1x1 squares have a mass of 24 and capacity of 800. Large 3x3 cargo halls have a mass of 216 and 7200 capacity.
  • Three new large semi-shielded cargo modules added, available from vendors dealing in shady wares.

Compatibility

  • Compatible with Immersive Cargo Halls (ensure CR loads after ICH).
  • Compatible with TN's Ship Modifications All in One (disable the mod's built-in cargo multiplier to avoid excessive values).
  • Optional patches available for Terran Armada, Aevi's Aerospace, ASC Deimos, Avontech Shipyards, Better Ship Part Flips, Crimson Fleet Rearmed, EliTek Aerospace, DerreTech, Falkland Systems, Graf's Habs, HopeTech Ship Hab Expansion, House Va'Ruun Ship Habs, Lambent Street Rat Ship Services, Mattell's Crew and Solitude series, OwlTech Ship Living, Stroud Premium Edition, Tiger Shipyards Overhaul, Varuun Technical Institute, and Watchtower.
