Cruise Mode Contraband Scan Fix screenshot

About this mod

The Freelanes update introduced bugs that broke contraband scanning in several occasions.

  • After exiting cruise mode, contraband scanning fails to trigger in the orbits of Volii Alpha (Neon), Gagarin, and Polvo. In other main orbits, it may trigger inconsistently.
  • Disabling the autopilot while in cruise mode immediately before arrival allowed landing in cities with contraband via the galaxy map.

This fix addresses these issues by adding missing ship guard references to orbit locations. Necessary "OnCruiseArrival" events were added to the "GuardShipQuestScript," alongside additional tweaks. If contraband is detected on board while in cruise mode, fast travel is disabled within the galactic map to prevent cheating.

Known issues

  • If contraband scanning does not function immediately after installation, trigger a scan in a working location such as New Atlantis Orbit to update the system.
