Sleep Through the Night screenshot

About this mod

This mod enables beds to function as a way to skip nighttime.

Features

  • Sleep in a bed during dusk or night to skip to morning.
  • Smooth fade-to-black transition and wake-up effect.
  • Configurable wake-up hour (default: 6 AM).
  • Configurable allowed sleep entry phases (default: Dusk, Night).
  • Multiplayer voting system requiring a specific threshold of players in bed.
  • On-screen HUD widget, toast notifications, and day display upon waking.
  • Host-only installation supported; unmodded clients still experience time changes, though they miss the custom UI and transition effects.

Requirements

  • UE4SS for Subnautica 2.

Installation

  • Install UE4SS for Subnautica 2.
  • Extract the SleepThroughTheNight folder into Subnautica2/Subnautica2/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/.
  • Launch the game.

Configuration

Options are editable in Mods/SleepThroughTheNight/config.txt:

  • allowed_phases: Day phases allowing sleep (default: Dusk, Night).
  • required_player_percent: Percentage of players needed to trigger skip (default: 100).
  • wake_up_hour: Hour to skip to (default: 6).

Known issues

  • Rapidly entering and exiting a bed within 1 second can bypass the cancel check.
