About this mod

Normally in vanilla Subnautica 2, once you pick up a water slug, it is gone forever from that save. This mod allows water slugs to respawn after a set amount of time, enabling collection of the same slugs later.

Features

Picked-up water slugs respawn after the cooldown expires.
Respawned slugs receive a fresh unique ID, treating them as brand new pickups.
Slugs function properly even if the original slug is kept in the inventory.
Slugs respawn in their original world locations.
Only water slugs are affected.

Configuration

RespawnSeconds: Time in seconds before a slug respawns (Default: 300 seconds).
CheckIntervalMs: Frequency at which the mod checks for slugs ready to respawn (Default: 30000ms).
After changing settings, restart the game or press the designated key in the UE4SS console to reload scripts.

Save-safe

Uses direct reflection writes; does not use console commands, so saves are not marked as cheated.
Does not permanently modify save data; uninstalling the mod reverts slug behavior to normal.
