About this mod

Mined ore nodes, loose pickups, water slugs, and Troilite respawn live at their original locations after a configurable cooldown. The mod does not edit save files and is non-destructive; uninstalling restores the vanilla world state upon the next reload.

Features

  • Global respawn timer slider (5s to 10min, default 120s)
  • Refill on load: nodes emptied in previous sessions respawn approximately 15s after entering the area
  • Per-resource toggles for Titanium, Copper, Quartz, Salt, Water Slug, Lead, Silver, Sulfur, Gold, Lithium, Atacamite, Celestine, Conduit Crystal, Creature Enamel, Axum Bacterial Culture, and Troilite
  • Nodes retain original size and respawn at their original coordinates and angles
  • Auto-detected language support

Requirements

  • UE4SS for Subnautica 2
  • Mod Settings for Subnautica 2 (optional, for in-game configuration)

Installation

  • Install UE4SS for Subnautica 2.
  • Use a mod manager or extract the ResourceRespawn folder into Subnautica2/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/.
  • Optionally install Mod Settings to manage configuration in-game.

Configuration

With Mod Settings, access the menu via Settings → Mods → Resource Respawn. Without it, modify the ResourceRespawn/Scripts/config.lua file manually.

Compatibility

  • Compatible with existing saves.
  • Tested on game version 1.1.

Known issues

  • Proximity requirement: The mod only functions within 150m of the player to maintain performance.
  • Respawned nodes exist at runtime and are not permanently written into save files.
  • Multiplayer: Spawning is local and does not replicate between clients. All players must have the mod installed with identical settings.
  • Yield: Respawned nodes generate a fresh roll for piece counts, which may differ from the original node.
