About this mod

Community-driven Thai language translation for Subnautica 2.

Installation

  • Place the ~mods folder into Subnautica2/Subnautica2/Content/Paks within the game installation directory.
  • The translation activates automatically upon launching the game.

Configuration

  • Select English in the game settings to display Thai text.
  • Switch to German in the game settings to revert to English.

Notes

  • If renaming mod files, they must end with _P.pak. The .ucas, .utoc, and .pak files must share the same filename.
  • To remove the mod, simply delete the ~mods folder.
  • Translation utilizes a mix of manual translation, AI assistance (Typoon2.1, Gemma3:12b), and manual review.
  • Some items may remain untranslated; minor bugs and inconsistent phrasing may occur.

For Translators

  • Custom translations can be modified via the provided .csv file using Google Sheets or VSCode.
  • Recompiling requires Fmodel to extract the original Game.locres and UnrealLocresEditor to apply changes, followed by using UnrealPak to package the new .pak file.
