About this mod

This ReShade preset improves game visuals through enhanced color grading, HDR bloom, refined detail, increased depth, and reduced washed-out lighting while maintaining the original atmosphere.

Features

  • The 2.0 preset provides a balanced aesthetic compared to previous iterations.
  • Includes optional HDR Bloom, which is disabled by default but recommended for nighttime sequences to compensate for vanilla bloom limitations.
  • Tuning specifically addresses the disparity between daytime and nighttime lighting systems in the Early Access build.

Installation

  • Open the Subnautica 2 game folder.
  • Navigate to Subnautica2\Binaries\Win64.
  • Drag and drop all provided ReShade files into the Win64 directory.
  • Launch the game and wait for ReShade to load.
  • Press the Page Up key to toggle shaders on or off.
  • If shaders do not load automatically, select Subnautica 2 Visual Overhaul.ini manually from the preset dropdown menu.
