About this mod

Three sliders for tuning battery capacity, charger speed, and base power generation in Subnautica 2. This lightweight UE4SS Lua mod allows for independent adjustments via the SN2ModSettings in-game UI. No .pak overrides or permanent save-file modifications are used; values snap back to vanilla upon uninstallation.

Features

  • Battery Capacity Multiplier (1–10×): Affects MaxEnergyLevel for batteries, power cells, and fusion cells.
  • Charger Speed Multiplier (1–10×): Affects ChargeRate for battery and power cell terminals.
  • Power Generation Multiplier (1–10×): Affects BasePowerGeneration for solar, thermal, bio, and hydro generators.
  • Debug-logging toggle for troubleshooting.
  • Per-instance baseline snapshotting prevents compounding values when adjusting sliders.

Requirements

  • UE4SS for Subnautica 2
  • SN2ModSettings (for in-game UI)

Installation

  • Ensure UE4SS is installed.
  • Extract the archive to Subnautica2\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\.
  • Add "SN2PowerTweaks : 1" to ue4ss\Mods\mods.txt to ensure proper load order.

Compatibility

  • Stacking with other power mods may lead to over-tuning.
  • Multiplayer is untested; host and client desync likely without identical settings.

Known issues

  • Mod may not appear in Settings if load order in mods.txt is not set.
  • If uninstalled, drop and re-pick items or save/reload to clear cached boosted values.
