About this mod

Features

  • RGBifier – place at the center of your base to convert strip lighting to RGB. Has an area of effect; only one can be active within that area. Inactive units periodically check to reactivate when they become the sole unit.
  • RGB Disco Ceiling Light – RGB ceiling light with copyright‑free disco music and smoke effects.
  • Rotating Spot Light – spotlight that rotates.
  • RGB Rotating Spot Light – RGB variant of the rotating spotlight.
  • RGB variants of most other base lighting fixtures – all RGB fixtures sync to the same colour cycle.
  • Additional buildables are planned; suggestions may be considered.

Requirements

  • Does NOT require UE4SS or any other mod loader.
  • In multiplayer, every player must have the mod installed. Lighting, VFX, and audio are client‑side; building replication is handled by the game.

Installation

  • Unzip the archive to <your game install directory>\Subnautica2\ (ensure the .uplugin file remains inside the mod folder).

Uninstallation

  • Delete the MoreBuildables folder from the install location.
  • Loading a save that contained the modded buildings after deletion will not crash the game, but the buildings will disappear.
  • After uninstalling, load the game and perform a manual save to stop background CPU usage from attempting to spawn missing buildings.

Compatibility

  • Created using the Subnautica 2 modkit.
  • No AI was used in its creation.

Known issues

  • Multiplayer has not been officially tested; all participants must have the mod installed.
  • Changing base layout may require repositioning the RGBifier or reloading the save to reapply RGB effects.
