Tadpole Chassis Beacon Fix screenshot

About this mod

Tadpole Beacon Fix restores reliable beacon behavior for detached Tadpole chassis in Subnautica 2. When you detach a Tadpole chassis, the mod creates a persistent HUD/PDA signal at its location using the game’s native ping system. The signal is automatically removed once the chassis is reattached.

It will only work for detached chassis after mod installation.

  • Make sure the mod is enabled in mods.txt.

Features

  • Creates a beacon signal when a Tadpole chassis is detached.
  • Removes the signal when the chassis is reattached.
  • Uses the vanilla chassis ping icon and signal label.
  • Works with multiple/dynamic Tadpole chassis actors, not just one fixed instance.
  • Uses the game’s native ping system instead of custom HUD drawing.
  • Lightweight: no per-frame tracking or continuous polling.
