About this mod

True Rain rebuilds the rain system from the ground up using real-time refraction technology. Every raindrop functions as a dynamic lens, refracting light based on its shape, position, and the environment. This system replaces static textures and pre-baked cubemaps with per-frame light calculation, eliminating white streaks and milky haze for transparent water rendering.

Features

  • Custom shader pipeline using real-time refraction calculations
  • Proper transparency rendering with accurate light transmission
  • Engine-level interior volume detection
  • Optimized particle system with enhanced density

Compatibility

  • The Witcher 3 Next-Gen (Only DX12)
  • Compatible with lighting and weather overhauls
  • Incompatible with other rain modifications

Installation

  • Extract to Mods folder
  • No merge scripts required
