Wearable Pocket Items Redux (Classic and Next Gen) screenshot

About this mod

Usable items equipped in quickslots will be visibly holstered on Geralt's belt or hip. This Redux update includes support for the Next Gen version and numerous fixes.

ATTENTION: Completely remove any non-Redux version before installing.

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where a sphere appeared around Geralt during certain visual effects (hitting basic Quen, invisibility).
  • Fixed items hanging in mid-air after switching from Geralt to Ciri.
  • Items now correctly hide when Geralt is under an invisibility effect.
  • Improved performance when the magic lamp is equipped.

Improvements

  • Geralt's clothing state is now checked during gameplay, not just in cutscenes, preventing items from floating when unequipped.
  • Items are hidden when Geralt wears civilian clothing instead of armor.
  • Mod settings are applied immediately upon exiting the pause menu.
  • Added an option to choose specific appearances for equipped bombs.
  • Added an option to toggle visibility for bombs with spent charges.
  • Added an option to display two bombs on the belt if the second slot is empty.
  • Added display for the candle lantern (toggle via the torch menu option).

Compatibility

  • Ard Bombs: Added display support for 5 new bombs.
  • Hoods/Killing Monsters Cloak: Added an option to hide quickslot items and back-positioned bombs when wearing cloaks.
  • Complete Animations Redux: Fixed horn sound issues during drink animations.
  • Swords and Meditation: Optional compatibility patch available for hiding bombs when deploying a camp.
  • Wisp and Alternative Undying: Items appear as a pouch on the belt.
  • Magic Spells: Invisibility spells now hide belt items.

Installation

  • Remove any non-Redux versions of Wearable Pocket Items.
  • Place mods and bin folders in the game root folder and merge as necessary. Use Witcher Script Merger if conflicts occur.
  • For Next Gen only: add WPI.xml to the end of dx11filelist.txt or dx12filelist.txt located in bin/config/r4game/user_config_matrix/pc/. Alternatively, use Menu Filelist Updater.
  • Customize via the in-game menu.
