About this mod

Removes the few seconds of forced walk speed when the screen fades in after a loading screen or fast travel. This effect is especially prevalent when using the alternative movement scheme on a controller.

Requirements

Next-gen version of the game (tested in 4.0.4). Likely incompatible with old-gen versions.

Installation

Unzip the archive into the game directory and merge the mods directory.
Alternatively, use TW3 Mod Manager.

Compatibility

This is a simple script edit that should be compatible with most mods, particularly when using TW3 Script Merger, which is recommended.

Known issues

Not extensively playtested; please report any proven issues.

Technical details

Removes the !theGame.IsFading() condition on line 902 of locomotionDirectController.ws. This condition previously skipped generic movement code during screen fading, defaulting to a block that forces walking.
