About this mod

GC Boost modifies the GC.ini file to boost garbage collector performance for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen. This utility is designed for users managing large modlists or heavy graphics modifications.

Features

  • Reduces pop-in artifacts.
  • Improves loading times for large-scale graphics mods like HD Reworked Project Next Gen.
  • Enables the engine to store additional and higher-quality meshes for more detailed rendering.
  • Provides slight visual enhancements, most noticeable when multiple graphics mods are active.

Configuration

The mod utilizes a modified GC.ini file with adjusted parameters:

  • DefaultPoolMemoryTrigger: 5000
  • MeshPoolMemoryTrigger: 512
  • IdleFrameCount: 1800
  • MaxDiscardListCount: 2000000
  • AutoDiscardCount: 1000

Note: Lowering the IdleFrameCount may degrade gameplay quality, while increasing it too much may cause out-of-memory (OOM) errors.
