Disable Interior Fog screenshot

About this mod

Interiors in Witcher 3 often look hazy, especially in big rooms, caves and houses with windows. This mod turns that fog off while you are inside and brings it back smoothly when you leave.

Features

  • Removes the fog when you enter an interior.
  • Fades the fog back in over about two seconds when you go outside to prevent sudden popping.
  • Checks for a ceiling above, ensuring places that are technically interiors but open to the sky, such as ruins or collapsed buildings, retain normal fog.
  • Leaves dark places, caves, and dungeons that rely on darkness for their design untouched.
  • Compatible with the Cat potion; the effect persists when moving between building interiors and exteriors instead of being cut off.

Requirements

  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered. Compatibility with older versions has not been tested.

Installation

  • Copy the folder into your game folder.
  • Start the game. No script merging is needed.

Compatibility

  • Tested on its own. Mods that change the Cat potion or utilize the cat vision effect may conflict, potentially causing strange visuals. There is no menu or settings file.

Known issues

  • None reported.
